  • 200 Red Wiggler Composting Worms in complete starter blend of bedding. Adult breeding age red worms, juveniles, and egg cocoons all ready to get you on your way to creating compost and vermicast.  You provide the bin or worm farm of your choice. This Mini Worm Farm arrives in a enviro bag or a recycled 32 ounce container which holds 16 ounces of worms and bedding material. You place the material and worm mix into your prepared worm farm container with your own bedding on the bottom, such as torn moistened cardboard, shredded paper, paper napkins, leaves, old rotted hay or mulch, moisten the mix a bit if necessary, pour your new container mix in and leave it for 2 weeks while the worms get busy doing their thing. They will be totally self-sufficient at first and you can just leave them alone. Do not add any compost or food at the beginning. After the settle in period you will begin to feed them. They will not be used to the new surroundings at first, so you don't want to overload with more food. It would rot, attract insects and get smelly. See below for more instructions on getting started. If you place your order online, your mini worm farm will arrive in a cozy sleeping bag made of recycled materials. If you purchase locally, they will be in a recycled yogurt container or other similar container. We recycle whenever possible to not add to the plastic and trash problem.
